PRP Hair Restoration

About the Treatment
PRP Hair Restoration

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy harnesses your body’s own healing power to restore skin health and stimulate hair growth. This natural, regenerative treatment boosts collagen production, improving skin texture, tone, and elasticity - without chemicals or synthetic fillers.

Benefits of PRP

  • Improves skin laxity and firmness
  • Enhances skin texture and tone
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • Softens acne scars
  • Stimulates hair growth and strengthens follicles
How Does PRP Work?

PRP, often called the “Vampire Facial” or “Dracula Therapy,” uses plasma extracted from your own blood. Plasma is rich in growth factors that support cell repair and regeneration. By concentrating these growth factors and injecting them into the skin or scalp, PRP:

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production
  • Improves blood supply and tissue repair
  • Promotes healthy skin and hair growth

As PRP is derived from your own blood, it is one of the safest and most natural rejuvenation treatments available.

The Process:

  1. A small amount of your blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma.
  2. The concentrated PRP is injected into targeted areas of the face, neck, or scalp.
  3. Growth factors in the PRP trigger natural healing, collagen formation, and tissue regeneration.

For hair restoration, PRP is delivered into the scalp to stimulate follicles, improving hair thickness and density.

Common Questions
How is PRP applied?

PRP can be injected directly in the scalp or skin or can be applied as a solution directly after microneedling.

Is PRP safe?

PRP has been used in hundreds of thousands of procedures, worldwide, for the past 30 years, particularly in maxilla-facial, orthopaedic and cardiac surgery. Because it’s based on the use of autologous tissue (in other words, it uses your blood to repair and regenerate your skin tissue), PRP is one of the safest ways to revitalize and rejuvenate your skin.

Does the treatment hurt?

Prior to treatment, a topical anaesthetic will be applied to your skin, so as to minimise discomfort. Your comfort is our priority. You feel a stinging sensation on injection.

Is there any downtime following treatment with PRP?

Following treatment with PRP you might experience some localized lumps around the sites of injection. These tiny lumps will subside naturally, within around 24 hours after your treatment. You may also experience some swelling and slight bruising, following the procedure; all of which are very natural, temporary reactions. If applied post micro-needling then you mayexperience some redness or swelling post procedure which will settle after 24 hours.

What should I do after my PRP?

• No makeup for 24 hours after treatment • No heavy exercise for 24 hours after treatment • Try to avoid unnecessary touching of your face for the first 24 hours after treatment • Avoid for 3days: active/prescriptive skincare containing alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, vitamin A and C. Avoid emollients, dyes/colouring agents. • Avoid for 14-28days: Direct sun exposure .

What can I expect to see following treatment?

Your skin texture will improve over time as new tissue cells grow. Hair grow will be stimulated leading to increased hair which is thicker and stonger. Visible results may take between 3 and 6 weeks, which will continue over the following months.

How many sessions will I need?

For optimal results, most patients require a course of 3 or more sessions, spaced several weeks apart.

When will I see results?

Improvements typically appear gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases, with full benefits visible after completing the recommended treatment plan.

How long do results last?

Results can last 12–18 months, depending on your skin condition and maintenance treatments.

Am I suitable for PRP?

PRP is suitable for most people. However, we will ask you to attend a no-obligation consultation so that we can assess your unique skin concerns as well as check your medical history. Once we are satisfied that PRP will be a safe and effective treatment for you, we will invite you back to the clinic for treatment. You must inform us if you’re taking medication, including blood-thinning (anti-coagulant) medication, or if you’re undergoing steroidal or any long-term therapies.
